Shiwanyubingshao
Shiwanyubingshao is a packaging design for a Chinese liquor. The design uses the lion dance, a traditional Chinese performance, as its main visual theme. The bottle is made of glass with a black transparent sprayed finish, and the bottle shape is based on ancient Chinese wine containers, with gilded details. The outer box is made of black special paper with a stamping process. An illustrated lion head is placed on the top of the box. Opening the box reveals the lion head color and adds a sense of ceremony to the act of drinking.
Shiwanyubingshao Liquor by Zhipeng Zhang was recognized as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Award. Shiwanyubingshao Liquor was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
