Vigorousness
Vigorousness is a residential interior design of 280 square meters in Taipei, Taiwan. The entrance uses a grid pattern that recalls the image of Chinese arches. Screens and bookcase doors combine traditional Chinese hand woven bamboo with western ironwork. The bamboo sticks are woven with cotton ropes at intervals of 3 millimeters and fixed in frames made of titanium plated stainless steel pipe. Cabinet doors are 2.9 meters high, close to the local floor height of 3 meters, which strengthens the sense of space. Black, white, indigo and blue recall traditional ink landscape painting.
Vigorousness Residential House by SHUN YUAN CHANG has been selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Vigorousness Residential House earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
