Life
Life is a residential interior design for a 247 square metre home in Taipei, Taiwan. The space is treated as a living organism. A vegetation wall based on the aquaponics concept is inlaid in the wall with a stainless steel base, and a fish pond is placed below. Water resistance, rust prevention, light, humidity control and insulation are addressed, and a drain pan eases cleaning. Pale white paving and silver fox marble extend from the entrance to the television wall, kitchen and dining room. Entry flow, aisles and door panels follow barrier free design.
Life Residential House by SHUN YUAN CHANG was highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Life Residential House received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
