Pure App is a mobile application designed for plogging, an activity that combines jogging with picking up litter. The app guides each session with details such as route, trash can location, distance, speed and energy use. Every collected item is tracked and turned into points, so users can compare results with friends. Team plogging is also supported online, allowing group activities and friendly competition. Additional features include tasks, environmental quizzes and an online store for green products.
Pure Mobile App by Jiaying Zhu has been selected as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Pure Mobile App received the Bronze A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design in 2020. The A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes outstanding design of smartphones, tablets, wearables, mobile applications, mobile games, mobile software, mobile platforms, mobile interfaces and more.
