Bathing Light
Bathing Light is a residential apartment interior located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The apartment covers 267.7 square meters and faces a waterfront landscape. Through volume design and layout planning, the boundaries between interior and exterior are blurred, so the river view becomes part of the daily scenery. The unusual floor plan places all bedroom circulation in the public space, and this route was turned into a design element that extends the view. Light wood and marble form the material palette. All materials meet green renovation standards for a healthy and sustainable home.
Bathing Light Residential Apartment by Wen-Ching Wu was selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bathing Light Residential Apartment was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
