Xiaohutuxian Xinyouran Wine Boxes

Xiaohutuxian Xinyouran

Xiaohutuxian Xinyouran is a packaging design for liquor bottles. The box is shaped like a bamboo slip, the writing surface used in ancient China before paper. The box opens in the same way as a bamboo slip book, so opening the package recalls opening a book of wisdom. Inside, a pair of Chinese ink paintings shows a range of mountains, a traditional symbol of wisdom. The mountains are drawn with two-dimensional codes, joining Chinese culture with modern technology. The package is made of cardboard and measures 150 by 120 by 300 millimeters.

Xiaohutuxian Xinyouran Wine Boxes by Pang xinyu was featured as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Xiaohutuxian Xinyouran Wine Boxes earned the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
