Etile Photovoltaic Metal Roof

Etile

Etile is a photovoltaic metal roof tile designed for use on many types of buildings. Each module is based on a traditional galvanized steel roof tile and carries five micro photovoltaic panels that generate electricity. The modules measure 1200 by 360 by 30 millimetres and are joined together like ordinary roof tiles, with cable connections hidden under the roof sheathing. The power line is connected to the building power grid. The steel panel can be separated at the end of the product life. Etile adds energy generation without changing the roof structure.

Etile Photovoltaic Metal Roof by Jarosław Markowicz has been recognized as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Etile Photovoltaic Metal Roof received the Silver A' Design Award in Building Materials and Construction Components Design in 2020. The A' Building Materials and Construction Components Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program that honors exceptional design of bricks, beams, windows, doors, insulation materials, roofing materials, plumbing fixtures, electrical components and more.
