Splash
"Splash" is personal drawing project made by Maria Bradovkova, Her goal was to challenge her creativity and abstract thinking. She used traditional technique — colored ink on paper. Random splash of ink was a starting point and inspiration for each illustration. She observed irregular shape of watercolor until she saw a hint of a figure in it. With linear drawing she added details and made the character to stand out. Abstract shape of stain she turned into figurative image. Each drawing shows different human or animalistic characters in sentimental mood.
Splash Illustration by Maria Bradovkova was featured as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Splash Illustration won the Iron A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2020. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which celebrates exceptional design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
