After Life
After Life is a themed restaurant and bar located in Downtown Dubai. The venue covers 500 square meters of interior space with an attached open balcony of 150 square meters. The entrance forms a tunnel with a mountain-like wall, engraved Babylonian script panels, burnt candles on a shelf and rock-shaped crystals hanging from the ceiling. A foyer with a driftwood tree and a large log chair leads into the main hall. The island bar appears carved from stone and is marked by a serpentine crystal installation of 30 meters. Rustic Indian sandstone covers the floor in a random pattern.
After Life Restaurant by devesh pratyay has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. After Life Restaurant earned the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
