Lego Activity Center
Lego Activity Center is an interior design for a children's educational space located next to Yangfushan Park. The concept is play while learning, learn while playing. Modules of Lego blocks inspire the arcs, circles and woven elements of the interior. A curved wooden amphitheater cabinet stores books and forms an area for rest and interaction. A spiral staircase with solid wood handrails connects the two levels. The hall is finished with non-toxic and odorless paint, and the floor is paved with materials refined from linseed oil.
Lego Activity Center Retail by Donny Fan has been recognized as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Lego Activity Center Retail earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
