Art Farm
Art Farm is a guest house in Nanjing, China, created from a former farmhouse. The building covers about 1200 square meters. The first floor holds a reception area, a multifunctional room, a dining room and a guest room. Six guest rooms are placed on the second floor, and one large guest room with a bathtub is on the third floor. Brass details and abstract geometric shapes are combined with local Jiangnan elements. The walls are dark blue, and the furniture and sofas are red and orange. The interior aims to give guests an immersive experience of art.
Art Farm Guest House by Chen Xu has been featured as a grand representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Art Farm Guest House earned the Silver A' Design Award in Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design in 2020. The A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors outstanding design of hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafes, bars, cruise ships, theme parks, travel experiences and more.
