Lexilight
Lexilight is a reading lamp designed to support people with dyslexia. The lamp combines pulsed and modulated light, which erases the mirror image that a dyslexic reader can perceive. Reading becomes easier, faster and longer without eye strain. A main button switches between the Lexilight mode and normal light, and two potentiometers adjust the pulsation and modulation for each user. The head is made of ABS with a metal paint finish, the diffuser of PMMA and the foot of Zamac. The form recalls a caring friend bent over the book, as a parent would be.
Lexilight Reading Lamp by Pad Design Studio has been selected as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Lexilight Reading Lamp received the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021.
