Oriental Wisdom
Oriental Wisdom is an education and training center interior located in Taipei City, Taiwan. The space of 132 square meters serves members, hosts exchange and education programs and stores files. Oriental elements such as herbal storage cabinets and scroll-like dark wooden walls create a calm atmosphere. Materials include stone, lacquered glass, metal, brushed wood veneer and a jade floor. Movable partitions and whiteboards adapt the area for training and meetings. Smooth curves and repeated gratings reduce the visual effect of the low ceiling and the beam.
Oriental Wisdom Office by Ting-Hao Juan has been highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Oriental Wisdom Office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
