Bathed in Sunshine
Bathed in Sunshine is a residential apartment interior located in Taiwan. The design removes excess walls and frame lines so that daylight can reach each part of the home. Floor to ceiling windows in the public areas collect abundant light, and the view runs without interruption from the entrance to the kitchen, living room and study. Wood and stone surfaces provide natural texture, arranged through order and color. Curved frameless glass and rounded corners replace sharp edges at the bar, study, bathroom and corridor entry, allowing safer use and more room for a wheelchair.
Bathed in Sunshine Residential Apartment by Chien Ting Chen has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Bathed in Sunshine Residential Apartment earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
