X Transport
X Transport is a concept cargo transport vehicle designed for Antarctic research stations. The design is inspired by penguins, which slide on their bellies to move quickly across ice and snow. The shell is made of metal, and the two skis at the base are made of high-strength carbon fiber. Propulsion units at the top and the tail use vector thrust technology to control speed and direction. The cargo cabin is held by an X-shaped structure that can be raised and lowered to adjust the center of gravity. The aim is faster delivery of supplies.
X Transport Cargo Transportation by Tianyang Yuan has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of strategy design by the A' Design Awards. X Transport Cargo Transportation received the Silver A' Design Award in Futuristic Design in 2021. The A' Futuristic Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that recognizes outstanding design of conceptual architectures, advanced robotics, innovative transportation systems, futuristic fashion designs, progressive furniture pieces, Next-Gen electronic gadgets, revolutionary software interfaces, groundbreaking biotech innovations and more.
