Tianxi No.1
Tianxi No.1 is a sales center for a residential development in the busy downtown area of Shenzhen, China. The interior covers 1900 square metres and follows a modern oriental theme. A wide waterscape marks the entrance, and a 50 metre waterfront footpath leads visitors inside. Metal mesh screens divide the space and partly reveal the areas beyond. A triangular skylight brings daylight onto the water surface. Calligraphy works are deconstructed and placed on 20 turntable installations. The aim is to offer a quiet and natural atmosphere within a commercial district.
Tianxi No.1 Sales Center by Ben Wu has been identified as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Tianxi No.1 Sales Center won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
