Hidden Breeze
Hidden Breeze is the interior design of a private villa of 530 square meters in Wenzhou. The design follows a minimal approach and uses terrazzo, dyed wood veneer, slate and art paint. The entrance porch keeps its original inner width, and hidden storage cabinets are added on both sides. Black and white artworks and a bronze sculpture balance function and beauty. The staircase moves from straight lines to curved lines. An octagonal window is extended into a full surface, so daylight reaches every corner of the interior. The project was completed in December 2019.
Hidden Breeze Residential House by Xiaoying Huang has been recognized as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Hidden Breeze Residential House was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
