Dancing Ballerina
Dancing Ballerina is a kinetic cocktail ring inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen tale of the tin soldier and the paper ballerina. A rotary mechanism inside the ring allows the ballerina figure to turn with the slightest movement of the hand. The figure is made of 18k white and yellow gold and set with 223 white diamonds of 4.03 carats in round and pear cuts. The ring measures 5 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height and weighs 37.20 grams. A double-flip coin base allows the ring to stand as a small sculpture when it is not worn.
Dancing Ballerina Kinetic Cocktail Ring by Margarita Prysiazhniuk has been identified as an exceptional example of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dancing Ballerina Kinetic Cocktail Ring earned the Silver A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which celebrates excellent design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
