Van Gogh's Sunflower
Van Gogh's Sunflowers is a pair of handmade earrings inspired by a still life painting of sunflowers. The earrings are made of 18 karat gold and set with natural citrines and yellow diamonds in bezel settings. Many shades of yellow citrine recreate the tones of the painting. The gemstones overlap each other and create a three-dimensional effect, similar to the layers of a flower. A matte finish with fine lines represents the leaves, while a polished finish represents the branches. The bold shape gives the design a sculptural appearance.
Van Gogh's Sunflower Earrings by Larissa Moraes was identified as an outstanding example of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Van Gogh's Sunflower Earrings was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes outstanding design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
