Cigar Age
Cigar Age is a commercial bistro interior located in Taipei City, Taiwan. The space combines an open dining area, a bar, a wine cellar, a cigar room and private booths. Spaciousness and transparency guide the layout, and a high ceiling allows the booths, wine cellar and cigar room to appear as layered glass cubes. Dyed leather, wood, red bricks and black iron create a dark and retro texture. Spacious sofas and moderate spacing provide comfort and privacy. An exclusive humidity control system, ventilation grills and corridors support each function.
Cigar Age Commercial Space by Hung Teng Hsiao has been selected as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Cigar Age Commercial Space won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
