Tranquil Gathering
Tranquil Gathering is a Japanese restaurant interior located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The design combines traditional Japanese elements with modern materials. A light wood tone forms the main axis of the space. Cut wooden grids create a three-dimensional and harmonious contour, and the vertical wooden grid extends into the bar area. Hollow bricks and glass divide the areas while keeping a sense of extension. Walls are finished with polyurethane artificial leather in textures such as slate, tree rings and gray tones. Circular tables and lamps mark the second-floor booths.
Tranquil Gathering Restaurant by Hung Teng Hsiao was identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Tranquil Gathering Restaurant was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
