Dongyue
Dongyue is a residential interior design for an apartment of 85 square meters. The original three-room plan was changed into a two-room layout to create a broad view. The closed kitchen was opened and joined with a kitchen island. A work desk is combined with the dining table placed behind the sofa. Furniture and walkways divide the living space, so movement follows the shortest path. The large pillars at the entrance are faced with thin plate tiles. Gray, white and brown set a calm tone, with golden trims added.
Dongyue Residential House by Chung Yi Chun was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dongyue Residential House was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
