Reunion
Reunion is a residential apartment interior designed for gathering and social interaction. The layout is open, and unneeded partitions were removed to form one public zone that holds a dining kitchen, an audio-visual room and a multifunctional yoga room. A kitchen island joined with a table forms the core for dining and conversation. A layered ceiling reduces the visual effect of low crossbeams, while storage, bathroom and cooking areas are placed behind walls. White surfaces, timber and stone create a calm and warm setting. A dark glass sliding door can be opened or closed as a partition.
Reunion Residential Apartment by Lin, Cheng Hou has been recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Reunion Residential Apartment was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
