Blank Project
Blank Project is an office interior located northeast of central Changsha, China, with a total area of 800 square meters. The white minimalist space serves as a workplace for an interior design studio and as a showroom for its construction company. A floor-to-ceiling automatic sliding door leads into the showroom, which is lit by small imported spotlights. The spacious main hall is left open for large meetings or gallery-style events. A long lit corridor connects the studio and the showroom, and displays material boards of different textures beside a bench of black carbonized timber.
Blank Project Office by Yang PENG has been identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Blank Project Office received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
