Light and Shadow
Co-real Smart Home is a flagship store and office building in Hangzhou, China. The 1800 square meter project is a renovation of a simple factory. The building is treated as a white box with distinct volumes arranged around a central courtyard, giving it a clear identity within its surroundings. A high atrium opens the public hall, which forms the center of the horizontal and vertical circulation. The first floor holds a product showroom and sample rooms where each smart home system can be experienced. The second floor is a comprehensive office area.
Light and Shadow Flagship Store by Yun Mao has been selected as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Light and Shadow Flagship Store earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
