Corn Design
Corn Design is an office interior created for a young design team in Ningbo, China. The project covers 1300 square metres and is planned as an open and dynamic workspace. A sharing hall stands at the centre as an independent box for meetings and the exchange of ideas. Seats in the hall rise like stairs, and stools in various colours are placed around them. Materials include terrazzo, square carpet, sintered stone and sound absorbing boards. A green plant wall and anti-noise spray improve comfort. Staff can decorate their own work areas.
Corn Design Office Space by Gang Zheng was highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Corn Design Office Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
