Home PE3
Home PE3 is a residential house located in Cittadella, Padua, Italy. The design responds to the brick fortified walls of the historic medieval city. Two large walls clad in exposed brick define the form of the building and protect the interior toward the garden. A custom version of the MAAX brick was produced with a historic brick company and installed with a ventilation air gap, creating a breathing wall. The footprint is about 500 square meters, with a ground floor, a first floor and a basement for garage and cellar. The interior spaces are flexible and can change as the family grows.
Home PE3 Residential House by Filippo Caprioglio has been recognized as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Home PE3 Residential House won the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which rewards outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
