Essence of Void
Essence of Void is a residential interior design in Taipei City, Taiwan, covering an area of 75.9 square meters. The home contains a foyer, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Unnecessary walls were removed to create an open plan. Gray mineral paint covers the walls and concrete epoxy forms the flooring. A black wood island with a metal structure and a stone-like storage cabinet define each zone without solid boundaries. An arched hallway and a curved recessed ceiling soften the monochrome interior.
Essence of Void Residential Project by Studio One was recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Essence of Void Residential Project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
