Waltz
Waltz is a residential interior design for a home of about 330 square meters in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The layout includes an entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a storeroom, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Curved surfaces extend from the public areas to the bedrooms and soften the corners of the rooms. Straight corridors act as axes, so each area stays independent yet connected. Materials include wood floors, wood veneer, marble, titanium plated metal, iron, exposed concrete and leather. Sustainable and low formaldehyde materials are used.
Waltz Residential House by Hsueh Yu Yeh was recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Waltz Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
