Cloud Mansion
Cloud Mansion is a landscape design for a commercial site of 5,080 square meters in Lishui. The design captures the intuitive qualities of clouds: lightness, cleanliness, floating and transparency. Dislocated feature walls, hollowed feature walls and transparent blocks soften the sense of enclosure at the boundaries. Ultra-white glass, dark gray transparent glass and rainbow glass provide different degrees of permeability. A waterscape with a black marble base reflects the sky. Long gray marble benches offer places to rest.
Cloud Mansion Landscape by Jiayuan Zhang has been featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Cloud Mansion Landscape won the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which recognizes excellent design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
