Emperor
Emperor is a table and the first piece of the Imperial Furniture Series. The design follows the Neo-Sino methodology, which combines traditional design principles from the long history of China with contemporary design practices from other cultures. The wooden parts are CNC routed from sustainable Jarrah, and the metal parts are CNC milled from brass. The details are laser etched. The table measures 861 mm by 994 mm by 672 mm. The aim is to bring Chinese design influence into contemporary furniture in a respectful way.
Emperor Table by Tiger ChongSheng Guo was highlighted as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Emperor Table won the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that rewards excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
