Living in Mist
Living in Mist is a residential interior design for a 330 square meter home in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The building stands between mountain and sea, so mist often enters the rooms. The layout introduces the surrounding landscape through the windows. White is the main color, combined with natural stone, wood and metal elements. A wooden corridor leads to an open public area. Japanese cypress on the ceiling and grey stone flooring define the two bathrooms. Low formaldehyde materials and a dehumidifier support a healthy home.
Living in Mist Residential by Chang-Ming Tseng has been selected as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Living in Mist Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
