One More Time
One More Time is a short animated film created as a letter of encouragement for the Superhero Me community during the 2020 quarantine period in Singapore. The narration was recorded by community members in their own homes, sharing experiences of isolation and a shared view of resilience. A hand drawn look was chosen to give the film a personal and warm character. Light colors were used to express a feeling of hope. Digital animation tools were combined with hand drawn frames to keep the traditional appearance while working efficiently.
One More Time Short Film by Khoo Siew May & Jay Septimo has been recognized as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. One More Time Short Film won the Bronze A' Design Award in Movie, Video and Animation Design in 2021. The A' Movie, Video and Animation Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, music videos, experimental films, commercials, trailers and more.
