Devi Ratn
Devi Ratn is a boutique hotel interior located in Jaipur, India, set against views of the Aravalli Hills. The scheme is built around the theme of Ratn and reflects the heritage of the city. Glistening ceiling designs and lighting elements shape the main spaces. In the lobby, the existing red chevron flooring was retained, while colourful decor items, furniture arrangements and customised soft furnishings inspired by peacocks and butterflies balance the red envelope. Green materials such as fibre cement boards and stone laminates were used.
Devi Ratn Boutique Hotel by Khozema Chitawala was identified as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Devi Ratn Boutique Hotel won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
