Rhapsody
Rhapsody is a hand-crafted necklace made of 925 silver. The design is based on Islamic geometric patterns that developed over centuries in the Middle East and North Africa. Sculptural folds and ruffles turn the angular geometry of these patterns into a wearable form that follows the human body. Rhapsody is produced in Mashhad, Iran, a city known for traditional crafts, using traditional tools, techniques and materials. The necklace measures 175 by 160 by 45 millimetres. The intent is to join a rich cultural heritage with contemporary jewellery design.
Rhapsody Necklace by Arash Raad has been highlighted as an exceptional example of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rhapsody Necklace received the Silver A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which recognizes superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
