Save Calendar
Save Calendar is a series of illustrations created for a calendar on the theme of saving food. The illustrations show a farm field through the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Colors change with each season, so the four periods are easy to tell apart. A symmetrical composition in a Chinese style gives the images a modern look. Month and season information is placed at the top of each sheet. The drawings were made with computer software and printed at 800 by 800 millimeters. The series shows the hard work of farmers and reminds people to value food.
Save Calendar Illustration by Mengjia Li has been selected as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Save Calendar Illustration was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
