Chaozhousanbao
Chaozhousanbao is a food packaging design created for the Three Treasures of Chaozhou. The main elements and the lettering are carved and printed by hand using woodcut techniques, so the packaging carries the texture and detail of handmade work. Screen printing and handmade paper are used in production. The visual style matches the long history of the Three Treasures of Chaozhou and highlights their natural and simple character. The aim of the packaging is to present the cultural background of the product in a calm and traditional manner.
Chaozhousanbao Food Packaging by zhen yang was identified as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Chaozhousanbao Food Packaging was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which honors excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
