Modern Kingdom
Modern Kingdom is a residential interior design for a 66.1 square meter home in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Black, white and grey tones give the space a calm and modern character. Imported tiles with powder coating replace natural marble, since marble is a non-renewable material. Wooden geometric forms are combined with plaster and metallic molding, while iron and stone add contrast and visual layers. Selected cabinets use renewable materials and the woodwork is finished with low formaldehyde paint. The project was completed in May 2020.
Modern Kingdom Residential Space by Te-Chih Lo has been selected as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Modern Kingdom Residential Space received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
