U Media
U Media is an office interior design covering about 100 square meters in Qingdao. The palette is based on black, white and gray, with low saturation and high brightness to create a calm and open atmosphere. An open arched doorway divides the plan while keeping the space fluid and avoiding a cramped feeling. A four-meter bar beside the arch separates functional areas and offers a place for coffee and tea. Local anti-glare lighting at 4000K brightens the desk area. Soft boards on the walls hold notes and soften the surfaces.
U Media Office by Zi Zhai was selected as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. U Media Office was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
