Harmonious Forest
Harmonious Forest is a landscape design for a site of 5300 square meters in Taichung. The layout is based on three elements: axes, blank space and layers. Layers of greenery and simple geometric lines are interwoven to reflect the aesthetic of eastern brush painting and calligraphy. A welcoming trail is lined with Taiwan pines, camphor trees, Madagascar almonds and bald cypresses. Grass, a small bridge, a flowing stream, blooming trees and a pond at the gate form a rustic scene. Windows frame the garden like a painting that changes with the seasons.
Harmonious Forest Landscape by Hsu Fu Chu has been selected as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Harmonious Forest Landscape earned the Iron A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that rewards superior design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
