Forest of Art
Forest of Art is a landscape design for a 2000 square meter site in Taichung, Taiwan, completed in October 2020. The site lies at the junction of three parks, on a downtown corner facing a walkway to a school. The building was turned 45 degrees to face the school on the diagonal side, leaving more room for planting. Planter boxes arranged in an arc surround a sky walkway that connects with arbours. Multi-layer planting at the entrance makes the street corner appear as a forest linked to the sky walkway.
Forest of Art Landscapes by Hsu Fu Chu has been featured as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Forest of Art Landscapes received the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2021. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that rewards superior design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
