Ballantines 17
Ballantines 17 is a gift packaging design created for a blended whisky. The rigid box is produced with UV offset printing on silver foil paper, with gold and blue spot colors and embossed logos. A conveyor belt mechanism under the box raises a book stand as the cover is laid down, presenting the bottle on a golden stage. Gold prints along the pathway record the past awarded years. Corked samples of spices and flavors are placed at the front of the cover. The arrangement guides sight, then smell, then taste.
Ballantines 17 Gift Packaging by Li-Shang Printing Co., Ltd was selected as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Ballantines 17 Gift Packaging received the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
