Villa Antioquia
Villa Antioquia is a private residence located in Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The house covers 1130 square meters of construction on a lot of 2630 square meters. The design creates interior spaces that are physically and visually permeable to the exterior areas of the site. Local climatic conditions guided the use of natural ventilation. An extensive cantilever on the facade forms the entrance threshold. Native carved stone, wood coverings and large-format marble tiles shape the material palette.
Villa Antioquia House by Dante Luna has been identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Villa Antioquia House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
