Mai 12 Collection
Mai 12 Collection is a set of silver jewelry that includes a bangle and a ring. The design is inspired by the twelve indented corners, known as Mai 12, a feature of traditional Thai architecture in which the corners of a square structure are recessed. The collection reinterprets the indented stupa form by twisting the shape and shifting the corners to create dimension. A grajang pattern decorates the surfaces and gives the pieces a contemporary character. Production is carried out in silver with computer aided design and manufacturing technology.
Mai 12 Collection Silver Jewelry by SONTAYA PANSUPA was highlighted as an innovative illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Mai 12 Collection Silver Jewelry received the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
