Literary
Literary is a stackable chair inspired by the world of literature. The backrest and the seat take on the curves of the open pages of a book. The chair is made in a minimalist manner so that the resemblance to a book stays clear while the seating function is kept. The curved parts are formed from pressed moulded polycarbonate and are attached to a 22 mm tubular steel base. The entire structure is lacquered. The chair measures 420 mm in width, 440 mm in depth and 840 mm in height. Several chairs can be stacked for storage.
Literary Chair by Grasset François was highlighted as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Literary Chair received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that celebrates exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
