Wafers Lab
Wafers Lab is a packaging design created for a new wafer confection by a pastry brand. The package uses colorful illustrations drawn in a pop art style, showing pastry chefs and animals at work in an imaginary factory. The bright colors suggest the taste of the sweets and help the package attract attention on store shelves. The inside of the package is also illustrated, so the box can be kept and used as a decorative object in a room after the sweets are eaten. The packaging is produced in three sizes.
Wafers Lab Packaging by Dodo Design Co., Ltd. was featured as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wafers Lab Packaging won the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that recognizes outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
