Crystal
The art installation Crystal is made for the Yonge + St. Clair Fall Art Festival (Toronto, Canada) which is aimed to promote local businesses. The Crystal is an abstract 3d object of 3 meters in height, aimed to demonstrate the process of transformation throughout the crystal lattice. Using triangular shapes, the artist has created a volumetric structural arch resembling a crystal. To outline the shape, the structure was featured with rope knitting and illuminated by 5 meters of LED Neon Flex light from below.
Crystal Lighting Art Installation by Nargiza Usmanova has been selected as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Crystal Lighting Art Installation earned the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which celebrates exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
