Infinity
Infinity is a suspended wooden installation created for the interior of a furniture shop. The work is made of pressed wood veneers formed into two basic shapes, repeated many times in several orientations. Precise geometrical joints connect the pieces into one continuous flowing line. Each pressed piece is 1 meter long and 6 mm thick. Infinity hangs from the ceiling on metal wires 1 mm thick, 4 meters above the floor, and covers an area about 4 meters wide and 10.5 meters long. A handmade model was 3D scanned, and the mold was milled by CNC.
Infinity Interior Element by Cozí Studio was featured as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Infinity Interior Element won the Golden A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2022. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition which rewards excellent design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
