 Deer Mesh Stole

Deer Mesh

Two layers of extremely thin deerskin are brought together and made into a mesh. The mesh design makes the stole light, supple and comfortable to wear. The leather used is a sustainable material from venison producers in New Zealand. A leather stole may give the impression of being hot and heavy, however the extremely fine leather and mesh design solve this issue. Instead the leather adapts to the skin and becomes soft and supple over time. A special design features traditional gold leaf from Kanazawa, Japan's center of gold leaf production.

Deer Mesh Stole by KOHEI NISHINO has been identified as a grand representation of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Deer Mesh Stole was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Fashion and Travel Accessories Design in 2022. The A' Fashion and Travel Accessories Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that celebrates exceptional design of handbags, scarves, belts, luggage, hats, travel bags, cravats, gloves, wallets and more.
