Yunxi Mansion
Yunxi Mansion is a landscape design for a residential community in Nantong, China. The design draws on the Shuihui Garden, known for water flowing around the whole site, and brings a calm literati atmosphere to the property. Song Dynasty cloud patterns appear in the paving, the lamps and the column bases. A wind and rain corridor of 60 meters marks the entrance and offers a sheltered walk in the garden. Ecological permeable bricks and underground storage modules collect and reuse rainwater. Local plants help improve the microclimate.
Yunxi Mansion Landscape Design by Bing Dong was identified as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Yunxi Mansion Landscape Design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2022. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that honors exceptional design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
